Happy 74th birthday to the Golden Bear, Jack Nicklaus. The legendary golfer, arguably the best to ever play the game, was born in 1940. His official retirement came in 2005, completing a professional career that began in 1961.
In that time, Jack won a record setting 18 major championships, a feat that has not yet been surpassed. Although at one point in time Tiger Woods seemed poised to shatter all of the Golden Bear's records, injuries and unforeseen (and sexy) incidents have some hoping that Nicklaus' 18 Majors mark will stand the test of time.
No matter what happens, Jack will forever be enshrined among the all time greats, not only in golf, but in all of sports. So here's to you, Big Bear (I didn't even know we were calling him Big Bear). We're all hoping that you will walk many more greens over the course (ha! course!) of many more years.
